Michael King, Senior Vice President of Operations, Jewish Home of Rochester

Michael King brings more than two decades of managerial experience in the senior services profession. He serves as Senior Vice President/Administrator for the Jewish Home, coordinating day-to-day operations with the leadership team to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Debbie McIlveen, Senior Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer

"I’m proud to have been a part of this supportive environment for more than two decades. I enjoy mastering the financial challenges of senior care because I witness daily the good things we accomplish for the people who live here.”

Deborah McIlveen has been with Jewish Senior Life for over 20 years. She oversees financial activities here, including reimbursement, information technology, purchasing and receiving.

Debbie graduated from LeMoyne College with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. She has served on various committees of the New York State Association of Homes and Services of the Aging and has been elected to executive positions for the local chapter of the Health Care Financial Management Association.

Emy Giacalone, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Staff Development

“My goal is to be the employer of choice by recruiting and retaining quality staff that have the highest regard for our residents and families. We value our employees and the care they provide to our residents.”

With a focus on managing our most important resource – our employees – Emy Giacalone joined Jewish Senior Life in 2008. Emy oversees the human resources and staff development departments and brings over 15 years experience in the field to the position. She is responsible for providing the training and development of staff to meet the innovative continuum of aging programs needed for our residents and the community at large. Emy holds a Master of Science degree in Career and Human Resources Development from Rochester Institute of Technology, a Bachelors degree in Organization Development from Roberts Wesleyan College and a certificate in Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Michele Schirano, Vice President of Nursing, Jewish Home of Rochester

"During my years at the Jewish Home of Rochester, there have been many advances in the way we provide care to our residents. I am proud of our staff and the positive difference we make in the lives of our residents.”

Michele has been with the Jewish Home since 1993 and has grown along with the organization. She started as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and then went to school and became a Registered Nurse (RN). She was a Nurse Manager for four years and an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for 8 years. Her experience and expertise make her very deserving and qualified for her new role as Vice President of Nursing, where she is responsible for overseeing all nursing department operations to ensure the quality of care of the residents of the Jewish Home.

Mark Plantholt, Vice President of Facility Services

"My goal is to provide a clean, comfortable and safe environment for all members of our Jewish Senior Life family."

Mark Plantholt has more than 25 years of experience in health care. He oversees the engineering, grounds, environmental services, laundry and security departments at Jewish Senior Life.

Mark also oversees all new construction, expansion and renovation projects and is currently coordinating the Quality of Life Improvement Project at the Jewish Home. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York College at Brockport in 1984.

Jackie Stone, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations

"Talking to our residents and looking at life through their eyes gives us a unique perspective on how to better communicate all the benefits of Jewish Senior Life. I am happy to be part of an organization that listens to residents, their families, and each other."
 
Jackie Stone joined Jewish Senior Life in February 2008, and has been in the senior housing field for over 22 years. She has worked in a sales and marketing capacity at various retirement communities in Rochester, and has helped other not-for-profit organizations across the country to market their communities, bringing national experience to our marketing and branding strategies. Jackie is responsible for marketing all of the programs, services, and living options offered here at Jewish Senior Life.

Travis Masonis, Vice President of Information Technology

Jewish Senior Life understands the importance of technology in healthcare and strives to reach the cutting edge. I am very excited to be part of such a forward-thinking organization."
 
Travis Masonis joined Jewish Senior Life in August 2011. He previously worked at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY, where he has been the Director of IT Infrastructure for the past several years.

Travis graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Information Technology, and he is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
