Quality of Life Improvement Project

The Jewish Home of Rochester began a renovation project in April 2007 that includes significant changes in the physical environment for the interior of the home, and, in particular, upgrades for each of our 362 resident rooms. This $9.8 million project is expected to be completed in December 2009 and will incorporate unique, specially-designed features for seniors.

Begun in April 2007, the project adds:

  • 10 beds to the Transitional Care Program
  • a specialty bariatric care area
  • a physical therapy gym
  • new restaurant-style dining areas with new china and silver
  • recessed doorways, and curio cabinets
  • an in-room privacy wall to increase resident comfort
  • improved lighting in rooms, restrooms and hallways
  • carpeting and upgraded room furnishings
  • flat screen televisions
  • state-of-the-art nurse call pager system

Jewish Senior Life appreciates the support of the entire community through the renovation process as we continue our commitment to a true home-like environment for our residents and families.
