Marian's House

Jewish Senior Life is in the process of developing a unique place that will serve as a Memory Support House, called Marian's House. Marian's House will be a retreat, offering meals, activities, personal care, and ample space for specialized programming. It will also be a resource for caregivers. "We are passionate about serving the needs of those with memory loss and providing emotional support to their caregivers", says Daniel Katz, President & CEO of Jewish Senior Life.

Marian's House is named for Marian Farash, in honor of a $550,000 gift received from the Max and Marian Farash Charitable Foundation in support of this exciting project.

"We are delighted to make this gift to the Jewish Home Foundation to help establish Marian's House, which will be a valuable new resource in Rochester," said Hollis S. Budd, the Farash Foundation's Executive Director. "Marian would be deeply honored to know that this new home carries her name." Budd added that Alzheimer's disease research and patient care were significant charitable interests of the Farash family and "it is fitting that one of the foundation's first major gifts goes toward this purpose."

The total fundraising goal for this project is $1.1 million. The Jewish Home Foundation is seeking additional supporters to fund the remainder of the construction and start-up costs.
